St George's College is a prestigious school well over a century old that prides itself on teaching young boys to become the best men they can be for themselves and society. Through that school ideology I managed to attain a wholistic education which included Cambridge O and A Level Certifications and participation in numerous sports including cricket, squash and soccer.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, I thought it very important to keep myself busy and further my studies regardless of the postponement of my start to university and the tight lockdown restrictions in Zimbabwe at the time. After doing some research I found Future Learn where I was able to do 19 online courses with certifications from accredited institutions and companies worldwide within my current field of management and marketing.

I am currently in my 2nd year after a very successful first year both in my studies and in my career. My first year rounded off with a letter of commendation from heads of faculty after achieving an exceptional average in all my coursework. I see it as a testament of my hard and smart working practices and as motivation to do even better as I attempt to set the bar higher and higher for myself. Everyday my aim is to be better than I was the last day and put in as much work as possible. My long term academic goal is to now have my second year be better than the first and the third year be better than second. My short term goals are to learn what I can at work to facilitate my studies and to put in my best effort every day.

Position: Administrative Assistant
In my time at Bliss Hiring Services I worked in Events Management where I was able to work within a team of true professionals and aid the communication channel between my superiors and the staff I worked with. I also acted as an assistant in the office environment where I engaged in some administrative duties which gave me perspective on several operational nuances of organisations in challenging economic conditions in contrast to more functional economies. A very eye opening experience.

Working at Fairfield Avenue Limited is an enlightening experience where due to the lack of specialisation in a few areas I have been able to not only make sales but seriously engage in the marketing department of the business as well and utilise my creativity. My work also includes several administrative duties as I apply the knowledge I continuously gain through my studies to help steer the business in a promising direction with my associate in the hope that every year it will grow and one day see its full potential.
